Verse 88 – Constitution of the gross body
Any gross must necessarily rise from a previous condition of subtle existence. The five gross elements that can be perceived by the sense-organs in their nascent subtle state are called the tanmatras. These five subtle elements undergo grossification or Panchikarana to form the material with which the gross body is made.
