Old vasanas, gross and dreary, cannot immediately be plucked out and removed. Old rocks cannot be easily broken: they put fire round it and when hot they hammer it again, again, again along its grains and they finally break it.
So too avidya in us – the thick stone wall of vasanas. Warm it with the heat of meditation, and with OM hammer strike along the Aham Brahmasmi – grain!! Avidya shall end – strike, strike and S-T-R-I-K-E!!
