Pujya Swami Swaroopananda presented the Chinmaya Gaurav Award to Sushri Leela K.M. Mathematics teacher of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kannur, during his
yajna at Thrissur, on Oct. 17. The CCMT Education Cell honored her with this award for rendering more than 26 years of service in the field of education. In 2018, she received the prestigious CBSE Award from the Union Minister of State for Human Resources, Shri Upendra Kushwaha, at a function in New Delhi on
Sept. 6. She was selected for innovation in classroom teaching and was the
sole recipient from Kannur, North Kerala, for the award. She has published a
text book ‘Excel in Mathematics’ for Std. 1 to 5, which is used in many schools
all over India.
