Hold on to the Divine Mother!

Gurudev guided the seeker in the direction which the mind was inclined to follow. To a Krishna devotee, he would talk of Krishna, and to one who was attached to Lord Siva, he would explain in terms of Siva. He did not allow anyone to get attached to him at a personal level. Here he directs the devotee to the Divine Mother.

You can hold on the Mother and yet run round and round her, if you have full faith in Her. She will take the responsibility. It is Her child. A mother is the most careful nurse for her own child. Why worry then? Frisk about; dance along.

But not very far away from the Ma. In her presence – near her always. Then even if you fall she will reach there to help you – console you – to embrace you all the more tenderly to kiss off your tears and fears. Surrender unto Her as a child to its Ma. Ramakrishna did it. Others are doing it.

As far as I am concerned, I hold none; none holds on to me. I sing my song and pass your gate; under your balcony I cannot wait and sing; I am a shuttle between yagnasalas; till the last chord is sung out, I will sing on.
