In words of infinite love and stoic devotion to His Guru, Swami Tapovanji Maharaj, Gurudev recalls the One who completely transformed his life and soul which shall fill the reader with melancholic awe and surrender.
As a Poet:
Swami Tapovanam was an institution included and he too caused no cause. He came from nowhere; existed everywhere and ultimately went to be everywhere. It is very difficult to write the life history of such a great Saint.
Essentially a poet, he had a mad passion for witnessing the canvas of Nature’s beauty unrolling itself in the unfrequented peaks and valleys of the Himalayas. As he roamed about, his pen was constantly scribbling down the beauties that he discovered and the thoughts that passed through his saved bosom. Essentially a new style of literature has been revealed by this master Vedantin through his Nature-poetry and philosophical travelogues.
The Param Guru:
During the Uttarkand pilgrimage season, all varieties and types of seekers would come and Swamiji gave his advice to everyone. At one moment would come up a heaving old lady on her way to Gangotri. Swamiji would enquire of her children at home, her relations and others and would convince her that all she had to do was to visit Gangotri with her sorrows completely washed out.
At another time an Acharya would come up to discuss some portion of RigVeda.
This capacity to sing in all tunes and in all notes if unavoidable in a great Teacher occupying the place of reverence and glory as he was.
His gates we never closed, though he never came out of those gates. He lived a life of his own, chaste and pure, far and high.
