Diwali was celebrated at Adi Sankara Nilayam with great festivities. The illom and its premises were beautifully lit with diyas (oil-lamps) by the devotees and ashram residents. The highlights of the day included the Chuttuvilakku (lighting of 1008 oil-lamps) around the Chinmaya Swayambhu Ayyappa temple and the Mahalakshmi Puja performed by Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati, which was LIVE streamed through Chinmaya Channel (www.youtube.com/ChinmayaChannel).
The Benediction by Pujya Swami Swaroopananda, Global Head of Chinmaya Mission was also telecasted during the LIVE. This year, devotees were given a unique opportunity to perform the Lakshmi Puja at their home under the guidance of Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati during the LIVE telecast.
After the puja, Pujya Swami Swaroopananda launched the Chinmaya Podcast through which seekers across the globe would get access to the talks of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda and other talks on Vedanta via online mediums such as Apple Podcast, Spotify and so on.
Later, Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati released the Pendrive on Ishavasya Upanishad, which includes discourses by Swami Advayananda in Tamil.
