Dimensions of the Master!
A devotee recalls how confounded he was when he saw Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, a Swami knew so much about common people and what happens in a middle class home, how a wife reacts to her husband when it was out of his range of experience. That is when the devotee realised the other dimension of Gurudev. “He had a very keen sense of observation and he could sense the mood of a person and respond accordingly. I use all those tactics in public speaking today.” the devotee says with profound admiration.
He remembers vividly one yagna in 1977 when the group saw a huge hoarding of the Bollywood movie, “Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin” on their way to to the venue. During his talk, Gurudev said, “Krishna told Arjuna, ‘If you really surrender to me and fight this war, you will win. Remember, Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin!'”
