Deeksha Ceremony of Tamil Vedanta Course 2019

Out of the 23 students who embarked on a journey of Self-discovery on Aug. 31 in 2017, 16 completed the two-year Tamil English Vedanta Course at Sandeepany Vidya Mandir, Coimbatore, under the Resident Acharya, Swamini Sampratishthananda.
On the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, Aug. 24, Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda initiated two Brahmacharins into naishtika brahmacharya diksha. The others will serve full-time in their respective centres. Swami Shridharananda and Swamini Vimalananda blessed them on the occasion. Swami Anuttamananda, Swami Shashwatananda, Swami Aksharananda, Br. Dhivya Chaitanya, Br. Vighnesh Chaitanya, Brni. Sharanya Chaitanya and Brni. Shraddha Chaitanya were also present during the ceremony.

1. Krishanth – Br. Krishna Chaitanya (CM Sri Lanka)
2. Murugesan – Br. Isha Chaitanya (CM Kotagiri, TN)
The students who will serve the Mission with dedication at the following centres are:
1. Hema – (CM Trichy, TN)
2. Rajeswari – (CM Kumarakovil, TN)
3. Sarvanan – (CM Hosur and CM Salem, TN)
4. Prema – (Seva from home)
During the Course, Pujya Guruji taught texts like Kaivalyopanishad, Ganapathy Atharva Shirshopanishad, Yoga Vasishta, Sadacharam and so on. Pujya Swami Swaroopananda taught the Gayatri Mantra, Navdha Bhakti and Jnana Sara. Swamini Vimalananda took about eight texts including Manah Shodhanam, Saddarshanam, Drk Drishya Viveka. Swami Shridharananda did the Tamil text, Kandar Anubhuti, and portions from Thayumanavar Padalgal. Overall 75 texts were taught by over 30 Swamins and Brahmacharins of the mission.

During the two years, students reached out to neighbouring villages, conducted pujas, bhajans and satsangs in the village temples. They also benefited from the various workshops on grassroots level activities of the Mission and the CVP workshop conducted at Chinmaya Gardens. The Course was meticulously supported by an able team under Shri Sureshan, Administrator, Chinmaya Gardens.
