If love comes to us, it is a smile from the Lord, and so it is certainly welcome. We are thankful to the Lord for all the love that we receive. ‘But Lord, whether we receive Thy love through people around us or not, to love all other children of Thy creation is our humble puja at Thy sacred feet’ – this must be our attitude through our life.
Some people think that to give is an impoverishment and so they refuse to give even love.They don’t understand that to give love to all others is the only way to enrich life as nothing else can.All other glories fade, die away and perish. The divinely sweet beauty of love given, of tenderness shared, of sympathy shown, ever remains untarnished under all circumstances. Adversity cannot dim its brilliance, nor age destroys its beauty.
Yet, thoughtless people refuse to give love. To all intelligent men of dynamic character, however, ‘giving’ has a new meaning and an inspiring suggestion, inherent in that very act.To ‘give’ love to others is, to such people, the noblest and the highest expression of their own personality. In the act of giving, they experience a mystic joy of satisfaction, a fulfilment divine.
