We are delighted to inform you that CORD’s work in the area of Community Based Inclusion and Rehabilitation of persons with disabilities has been selected as a Winner in the category – Innovation: Non-Technology for the Nipman Foundation – Microsoft Equal Opportunity Awards 2019. The award is the blessings of Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda and all of you.
The Equal Opportunity Awards were instituted in 2014 and recognize organisations and individuals empowering Persons with Disabilities in their work-spaces and lifestyles. This year, Nipman Foundation received 219 applications and winners were selected after a rigorous selection by a screening committee and an independent Jury.
This year, Mr. Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog is the Chief Guest and Ms. Shakuntala Gamlin, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Person with Disabilities (DEPwD), Govt. of India, is the Guest of Honour. These Awards (Microsoft is a title partner) are recognized by UNESCO MGIEP and NITI Aayog, Govt. of India.
The highlights of the event will be telecast on India Today TV and will be featured online on The Print.
