- Under the guidance of Brni. Devaki Chaitanya, the 26th Mahasamadhi Day of Pujya Swami Chinmayananda was observed at Chinmaya Balabhavan (CIF Kochi and at all the Chinmaya Educational institutions on Aug. 3. On that day, annadanam was served at Balika Sadanam, a home for girls and at Abhyanikethan, a home for the aged. As part of the seva work, students contributed rice, dal, pulses and rava that were later distributed to the less-privileged. Parents of children who were doctors also supplied sample
medicines. - Shri Krishna Jayanti was celebrated in Kannur centre with traditional gaiety and fervour. In addition to the festivities, about 50 food packets were distributed to the less-privileged in and around Kannur. Besides, study material kits were distributed to about 50 children who had lost their school books in the recent floods. Swami Vishwananda spoke on the significance of the day.The Swaranjali Group enthralled the audience with their soul stirring and melodious Krishna bhajans.
