Discriminate Intelligently, Evolve Efficiently

Mother Parvati was devastated when she saw her dead son while a remorseful Lord Shiva upon realizing his error sent Nandi off to look for the first creature lying with its head facing north. Nandi returned with the head of a powerful elephant which Lord Shiva promptly placed on Ganesha’s body.

Lord Ganesha’s elephant trunk has deep wisdom:
The elephant with his trunk can uproot a heavy tree as well as pick out the tiniest blade of grass. Such is his efficiency beyond the realm of man or machine’s achievements.
We too must cultivate such perfect discrimination faculty to help us solve our problems efficiently and employ this power in the inner layers of our personality too.
