Developing communication skills is indispensable for a successful Study Group. This implies that discussions are held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation, along with a genuine collective sharing of points of view.
The transformation from argument to genuine discussion happens as faith in the scriptures grows, for persons who have doubts are more prone to argument.
The art of listening is an indispensable skill in all spheres of life. In Gurudev’s words: “We should listen with a critical, placid receptiveness to what we do not already know. And we should challenge the criticism of those things we do know by quietly turning our intellectual searchlight within.”
